Americans Denied Access to Transnistria

Tiraspol authorities today barred a group of American diplomats of the United States' embassy in Chisinau from the OSCE office in Tiraspol, according to the press service of the American embassy.
Sources of the diplomatic representation said that the car with three diplomats and a translator was stopped by the law enforcement bodies of the breakaway Transnistrian region and were barred from the self-proclaimed Moldovan Transnistrian republic.
At the moment of releasing this news story, the American diplomats are still in the security zone in order to clarify the case.
It is for the fifth time in a row this month that the Tiraspol authorities prohibit the American diplomats from entering Transnistria.
