I found this quite interesting, though I dont know how much of it is true:

Coordination council of Bendery civil groups of Transdnestr (Transdniester, Transnistria in other transcriptions) demanded Nov 6 that the Transdnestr authorities ?uncompromisingly raise at the negotiations with Chisinau the issue of withdrawing Moldavian police and penitentiary establishments from the city of Bendery.

Stationing of the Moldavian police in Bendery, PMR, is called in the open letter ?shameful, degrading, and anti-Constitutional, REGNUM correspondent reports.

?Transport and economic blockade of Transdnestr; military exercises of Moldavia??s army engaging the NATO military contingent for solving combat tasks in immediate proximity to the PMR; stationing Moldavia??s armed detachments inside PMR; reluctance to negotiate or impeding negotiations on the peaceful resolution of the Transdnestr problem ?? are all merely elements of the well-camouflaged policy of the west and the US to solve the Transdnestr issue by force, using Moldavia as a medium. Chisinau as a unitary state dictates conditions that are unacceptable for the people of Transdnestr. All the Chisinau manipulations are imminent for the city of Bendery with the relapse of events of the summer of 1992, with even more catastrophic consequences, Bendery activists say in their letter.
