Moldova to Meet with OSCE Chief

The chairman in office of Europe's top security and rights body is due in Moldova today.

Karel De Gucht , of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), is due to meet President Vladimir Voronin and other officials.

On June 1, De Gucht is scheduled to hold talks in Tiraspol with Igor Smirnov, the leader of Moldova's separatist region of Transdniester.

He then heads to Ukraine for talks with President Viktor Yushchenko and other top officials.
