MOSCOW. (Interfax) - Moscow is getting the impression that Moldova is trying to block a Transdniestria settlement and worsen relations with Russia, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"The impression we have is that Moldovan authorities are doing all they can to block a Transdniestria settlement and to spoil relations between Russia and Moldova even further," Lavrov said in Moscow on Wednesday at a briefing on talks with the OSCE's Chairman in Office, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitriy Rupel.

"I dont think that [further spoiling of relations with Russia] will be beneficial to Moldova," Lavrov said commenting on what "appropriate measures" Russia might take against Moldova after the recent detention of Russian observers there.
