MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Russian land forces commander Col. Gen. Alexei Maslov said no theft of weapons has been reported from depots in Transdniestria.
"A commission of the Moscow Military District examined the Transdniestrian arsenals only two weeks ago. Not single cartridge was registered as lost, to say nothing of weapons," Maslov told Interfax on Thursday.
"If Moldova has any intelligence about the theft of weapons in Transdniestria, we would ask them to share it with us. But no one has ever offered us such information, although individual Moldovan officials make unfounded statements on this score," Maslov said.
