Suspected Trolleybus Bomber Detained in Tiraspol

A suspected organizer of the explosion in a Tiraspol trolleybus on August 13 has been detained in the city, Transdniestrian State Security Minister Vladimir Antyufeyev said.

The suspect was found to possess ammunition, including grenades, identical to those used in the trolleybus explosion, Antyufeyev told reporters. He did not elaborate, saying that this could harm the investigation.

"The perpetrators of the explosion as well as their employers, which might be based outside Transdniestria will be identified by the investigation," he said. The detained suspect is a resident of Tiraspol, he said.
