INA Tiraspol, December 23, INTERLIC. The date of the Transdniestrian Local Elections is fixed. As INTERLIC News reporter reports from Tiraspol, they are slated for March. They will be carried on in accordance with the new Electoral Code, approved by the members of the Supreme Council last week. The Code envisages the international observers and each candidate can present two observers. The commissions are obliged to present all the inquired documents, Protocols and their copies on the demand of the observers. For the first time the Transdniestrian election will be carried on in accordance with the new norm of voters participation ? 25%. Earlier it was necessary that 50% of the voters took part in the elections. The local elections will be followed by the Parliamentary elections, due to take place in December 2005.
