May 22 (Interfax) - Valerii Litskai, the foreign minister of Transdniestria (official name: Pridnestrovie), welcomed the results of the referendum in Montenegro: The freedom of a people to democratically choose their own future. Tiraspol supports the right of Montenegrins to choose their country's future as an independent state.

" - This is a little bit like our holiday, as Montenegrins have voted for independence," foreign minister Litskai told a Monday roundtable in Moscow. The roundtable focused on the release of a study entitled "Rebellion of Minorities: Kosovo, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, and Kurdistan."

The government of Pridnestrovie welcomes the result of yesterday's independence referendum in Montenegro which passed with 56% of the voters in favor of declaring independence.
