Transnistria Railway Traffic To Resume From December 15th |

The heads of the railway administrations of Ukraine, Russia, and Moldova last week signed a protocol of intent to completely restore railway passenger and cargo traffic between the three countries. The railway traffic will resume from December 15 through the Ukrainian-Moldovan border passage Velchinets (Moldova) ? Mohilev ? Podilsky (Ukraine). Train No.47-48 Chisinau-Moscow will also resume. The service was cancelled at the initiative of Russia on November 1. Train No.65/66 Moscow-Chisinau will also resume its service through Transdniestria. Specialists from the three railway administrations are working to draw up an optimal schedule for cargo and passenger traffic through the north of Moldova and Transdniestria. On December 8, the railway administrations of Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova are to sign a temporary agreement in Kyiv. www.dars.ru
