Transnistrian militia, on 31 May in the morning, impeded the construction works of a train platform for the Chisinau-Varnita route.
Bender city commissary Valeriu Prutnicov has told MOLDPRES that given the created situation, there might be clashes between construction workers and militia. He said that on 30 May, there were only representatives of the Bender terminal protesting against the construction works started by the Moldovan railway enterprise, CFM, and threatening with the power wielding structures intervention. But on 31 May, militia involved in the conflict, banning access to the construction site.
The Transnistrian authorities claim that the construction works are already covering 300 meters of the territory they control.
Moldova's representative in the Joint Control Commission (supervisory body in the security zone), Ion Leahu, has confirmed that the sides failed to reach a compromise solution to the issue over the platform's construction.
CFM s management had planned to re-open the Chisinau-Moscow train route through Bender starting 5 June.
