One person was killed and eleven others wounded in a trolleybus explosion in the capital of Moldova??s breakaway province of Transdniestr Sunday, the press secretary of the republic??s interior ministry said. Five injured persons were in a grave condition in an intensive care unit and another six were in a traumatic surgery department, RIA Novosti said. Transdniestr, which has a predominantly Russian speaking population, proclaimed independence shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991-92, sparking an armed conflict with Moldova that ended in a ceasefire agreement. On July 6, at least seven people were killed and 30 injured after a suspected bomb ripped a minibus apart in the capital of the breakaway region, Tiraspol. www.mosnews.com
